LE PARQUET / THE WOOD FLOORING (part 2)

This weekend, I started glueing the wood floor, strip by strip. I think.....

this new hobby.....

teach me patience!

Oh It starts looking like a proper room now, doesn't it!

Eventually, I added the first coat of indoor wood varnish (light oak), and I must say I was quite happy with the result until Paul gave it a look and asked me why I hadn't painted it white....

Now I have a doubt...

LE PARQUET / THE WOOD FLOORING

Today I started cutting small pièces of balsa wood to create a wood flooring. I only stopped when I was pretty sure to have enough to cover the entire floor surface. I didn't realize immediately, but  I think it took me at least a couple of hours. Now I am wondering which type of glue I should use, and whether I should put a paint coat first...
