MOVING IN! / EMMENAGEMENT

RENOVATION D'UNE CHAISE

 

Voici l'une des chaises qui faisaient partie d'un lot que j'avais acheté sur e-bay.

 

J'ai d'abord enlevé le tissu de l'assise et du dossier.

 

Puis j'ai passé la chaise au papier de verre. Heureusement, elle est assez solide, car j'ai du pas mal appuyer car la couche de peinture était assez épaisse.

 

Puis j'ai passé une première couche de blanc.

 



CUSTOMISATION

 

Voici les petits plats tels que je les ai reçus. Je les ai grattés, j'ai passé de l'anti-rouille, puis je les ai peints et j'ai collé dans le fond des petits pastilles de carton que j'avais achetées dans un salon de miniatures. Et voilà le résultat!

 

Mais comme je pense que ces plats sont trop grands pour être du 1/12e, je les ai mis en décoration murale au fond du salon de thé.

Here are a few things I got on ebay over the summer. They are of various sizes and colours, but I think I could make something nice out of some of them!

BACK TO WORK!

 

After more than two months of interruption, I am back onto my tea shop at last! Today, I added some picture rails on top of the wooden boards, and I finished glueing the skirting boards! I am not satisfied with the work done today yet, as there are a lot of gaps to be filled. I also used the extra bits of wood to make a window frame.

I've kept minis on my mind over the summer holiday. I will show you a couple of small things I got from a shop and from a flea market.

MY FIRST FAIR: LE SALON INTERNATIONAL DE LA MAISON DE POUPEE DE PARIS

Hello! I know I haven't done much recently, but I will be on holiday in ten days! Nevertheless, I went to my first miniature fair last Sunday: the international dolls house fair in Paris. First I was a bit disappointed because there weren't any houses to sell, but I discovered loads of beautiful things, collected a lot of cards from different craftsmen and women, got new ideas, talked to people from Italy, Belgium, Spain, England, and all around France of course!

And I couldn't resist buying a few things! This tea pot was very expensive (22 €) but I found it really beautiful and quite unique!

Another teapot for my tea room, and this cute little mushroom that would look really nice in a fairy house (a future project?)
